Hi everyone, I am now committed to get my album finished and released by August 13, 2025. It has taken a lot longer than I expected, but then I also had some major life changes in the last several months but I really should not use that as an excuse. Most of the songs have been released as singles in a rougher, experimental format. The album will sound and feel much more uniform and it will contain the song that has not been released yet. This is really the song that I have been trying to write for 50 years. Now that I have my voice I was able to finally pen this song.
I am thinking about using a new logo. It may be in addition to the old logo as they both have a similarity to them that I will explain. Both of these logos represent a record player with the needle on the record. You may not have realized that the original logo was a record player as it was very abstract. The cyan circle is the record and the yellow triangle is the head of the needle and it is playing the record. The original design was crafted by Helen Wong back in probably in the early 80’s.
I thought I would give you all some updates about what is going on with The Donald Schulz Project. I am currently working on 1 more song that I want to put together in the form of an album which will be called “Finding my Voice”. It really marks the trail that I took to be able to truthfully express what I was feeling with words. I have always been a person that was in touch with my feelings but they came out in the music that I played. My music was my emotions coming out. Sometimes I wrote lyrics but in many cases they were just words without much depth. That depth started coming out when I worked on “Always on my Mind” and I worked for years on that song and even recorded some demos of it along the way.

Instead of coming out with an album is about 4 months I am going to be doing regular releases roughly about every two weeks. Hot Java is an instrumental and even though I have put this in the jazz and blues genre, it has a lot of elements of pop and rock, very fusion. This is not hard core jazz, this is fun jazz and hopefully it will be your go to song when you are enjoying a nice cup of Hot Java.
